Need to focus on a system wide change. Not on getting people into jobs on an individual basis. Learning/intellectually disabled people can't find jobs because we don't design jobs for intellectually disabled people we make them to fit into jobs designed for "normal" people

Why the contribution is important

at present only if you have mild disability can you have support for education, training, and work, if you can handle short full-time course, full time work commitments as well, after study is done.
if you can handle it. if you cannot handle these requirements you cannot get any support for study and on the benefit i am on, you cannot get any support at all. medical certificate states you need to be able to work in any environment , ok to work 40 hours to be ok for work requirements.anything less, you cannot study locally you cannot even work even part time here.unfortunately.
only okay is voluntary work as well, it seems as well if you are disabled, if you want work in new zealand, if an employer wants to hire you, they may want a subsidy to hire the disabled guy.
    is this not discrimination?

many aspergers people want to get work here, but no support at all.is this really okay?
